A Precious Identity ... You are loved!
If you are in the midst of heartbreak, and the pain or the hurt is overwhelming you with sorrow; if words, rejection or abuse from others strained your emotions, leaving you to feel helpless, hopeless, worthless and unloved, dear one, there is someone thinking of you and loving you this very moment with an unconditional love that always was and always will be. There is one who understands your sorrow, your confusion, your doubt. God is that someone. The flow of His love is moving through all hearts open to receive it. You are never alone. You are loved. You are accepted. You are so very precious. God loves you!
The beauty of what love is
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. .." (1Cor 13:4-8)
The most precious example of God's love for you
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
Love fills us to overflow when we share it with others
"Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us." (1 John 4:11-12)
God's love for you is rock solid
"Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the Lord, who has compassion on you." (Isaiah 54:10)
Nothing will stand between you and God's love for you
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:37-39)
Love has no boundaries
"... And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." (Ephesians 3:17-19)
Healthy responses to God's love
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." (Deuteronomy 6:5)
"But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High ... " (Luke 6:35)
These are just a few of many Scriptures about God's love for you, dear One. Know that God loves you above and beyond all we can ever imagine. Love is the core of who God is. For God to share this part of Himself with you reveals how much He really does love you!
"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinth. 13:13)
